Throughout these pages, you will find examples of my photography from some of my favourite shoots. I enjoy taking pictures in all photographic disciplines and consider myself a student of photography as a whole. Even with 20 years experience, I’m still learning the art.

Not all of the photography shoots I participate in are using professional models. I welcome anyone that wishes to try a shoot and my rates are extremely competitive. Whether you’re an aspiring model, looking for something new to try or looking for some nice photographs for your other half, get in touch. I have full use of a city centre studio with a green screen which not only makes a wonderful colour backdrop in colour or black & white but also can be used to superimpose other backgrounds, should you desire.

Headshots: A selection of up to 10 head shots from different angles with different expressions.

Model portfolio: Studio and/or location based shots in either fashion, editorial, beauty or alternative/gothic style. 10 edited images, usually on a memory stick.

Artistic: Studio shoot with complex and interesting lighting to create deep shadows like a film noir effect. Photographs are tastefully taken and will only go to pre-approved levels. Fantastic gifts for partners. 10 edited images, usually on a memory stick.

The equipment I use is bang up to date and I buy a new memory card for every wedding to avoid card failure.

It can be argued that the photographer is the most important person at a wedding. No-one else is going to capture the day the same way a professional photographer can.

That’s why at photofairground, I’m not trying to get in the way of other professional photographers. I say if you have £2000 to spend on a photographer then spend it.

But, if you’re on a budget or needing to save money here and there then that’s where I can help. I pride myself on keeping my prices as rigid as I possibly can. My packages are listed at the bottom of this page and they’re highly competitive. I’m happy to shoot from minute one to the last dance or any areas in between. Just choose the one that suits you best or give me a call if you can’t decide.

Full day: Includes bride preparation in the morning, groom preparation, arrival, ceremony, formal after ceremony shots, and reportage style shots of guests. Wedding breakfast and reception with formal evening shots of bride & groom with immediate family. Cutting cake and first dance. Leaving for honeymoon if on same day. You choose 20 images to be edited.

Half day: You can choose either first half of full day which will be getting ready through to formal shots after the ceremony or the second half day from arrival at wedding to last dance. You choose 10 shots to be edited.

Hourly rate: Should you only need me on an hourly basis then you can do so. Availability is more restricted due to the tailored approach. No images are included in the hourly rate. Please see below for the picture sizes I can supply. Wall sized images (12×10, 20×16 & 40×30) will be edited for noise reduction, colour and exposure balance, dust removal and general tidying. Glaring photographer based errors (dust, flyaway hair) will be edited on all photographs, to be discussed during viewing. While other photographers working hourly will charge a minimum of £100, that will take your total costs up to the price of a package anyway! I take a more common sense approach and charge a quarter of that.

£25 per hour

Second shooter: Get a second photographer at your wedding to capture even more of your day.

All images on a flash drive (unedited): £400*

Heavy photo editing: Some pictures can be heavily edited by me, such as tattoo or person removal. However, sometimes there may be some intense digital editing required to your photographs that I simply can’t perform. These will always be at your request, I will never take it upon myself to heavily edit pictures. This is because it is time consuming and delicate work. As such I may need to outsource it to professional photo retouchers (Photoshop Wizards). If this is necessary, photofairground will have no control over the cost but it will be discussed beforehand and your approval will be needed before proceeding.

*When all images on a flash drive are purchased, intellectual rights will still be owned by photofairground and I shall be able to use the images for advertising with the permission of the subjects. When all images are purchased, an accompanying letter will declare the customers rights to use the pictures.

Please note: I won’t require any food to be provided to me and I’ll bring a car.

So you’re a company that has a product and you need some pretty swish pictures taking of it, right? Well I have years of product photography experience as well as an overactive imagination that allows me to think outside the box. I look at what you have and will approach the project in a unique way.

Using a brand new digital SLR with a 50mm prime lens, the pictures aren’t distorted in any way. I use studio lighting when I have a mains power source to ensure the light is controlled. Most importantly, I take my time to make sure that I get what you need.

I have a number of interesting concepts for companies to consider:

1) Standard product photography: This can be studio based or on location if you wish such as your company premises. These will be pictures that get the job done. They will illustrate your product perfectly for prospective clients. Our success is your success.

2) Model included: I bring a model to the shoot to display your product for you. This will involve interaction so it generally needs to be a tangible product although nothing’s impossible. I can use male or female models. Using a model does add to the price to cover the model’s costs.

3) Calendar style shoot: This style of shoot can also involve a model but will have more integration into your business. The model will make high fashion poses with your products, place of work and even your employees can be in on the picture if you wish. I think these style shoots make excellent calendars for loyal customers and staff. Alternatively, the shots can be a collection of your workplace or local landmarks.

Product/packshot: Full set of pictures of the product(s) in a studio or location environment. Fully edited.

Model included: Full set of tasteful high fashion style pictures of the product in studio or location environment with interaction from a model (boy or girl).

Full model interaction: Model comes to place of work and tastefully interacts with product and place of work in a high fashion style.

Calendar: Why not have your product pictures put onto a calendar? This unique package includes the Full model interaction pack and 100 high quality A4 wire bound glossy calendars. You get full control of what pictures are used and in what order.

Urban Pantry Olde Fashioned photoOlde fashioned: It’s entirely possible that you want to know what your company would have looked like if it had been started in the early 1900’s. Well, with the flick of a wrist and the waving of a wand, I can recreate that for you. I will come to your premises and take a photograph of the exterior. If you wish to dress it up with flags or bunting beforehand, that would add to the effect. I will then process the image into an olde fashioned version of itself. For an idea of the treatment the picture will receive, see our examples of artwork on the Artwork page.
